FIRST LEGO League

FIRST LEGO League (FLL) Challenge is an international STEM competition to inspire kids ages 9-14 about engineering. Each year, FIRST creates a new challenge for teams to brainstorm ways to solve its many obstacles using LEGO parts.

Each year, teams are challenged to conduct an innovation project in which they have to: Identify a problem based on the annual theme. Design and research an innovative solution to the problem.

This year's challenge, UNEARTHED, is centered around archaeology and how much from the past there is to explore. By participating in FIRST LEGO League, children will be inspired to learn not only more about engineering but also the many themes that surround their challenge each year.

Questionable Engineering is starting two new FLL teams, both Ducktape and Drillbits, designed to bring engineering to students around Hudson County even if their schools don’t provide a FIRST program. Ducktape and Drillbits are a community-based teams, therefore kids from around Hudson County will be able to participate in the program. Students on Ducktape or Drillbits will be mentored by professionals in the engineering industry and Questionable Engineering students.
