FMA District Championship

On April 3rd-6th, QE traveled up to Stabler Arena in Bensalem, PA for the FIRST Mid-Atlantic District Championship (DCMP).  QE not only brought our robot for the 3 days of fierce competition but, after winning the Engineering Inspiration Award at Allentown earlier in the season, the team qualified to compete for the award at the District Championship level! Throughout the weekend, our members completed, scouted, strategized, and presented for awards.  Members were also able to attend a group dinner organized by 1676 The Pascack Pi-oneers and make friends on teams 75, 222, 223, 3314, and 8513!  Although not selected for playoffs, the team worked diligently throughout the entire weekend and had an amazing time competing and seeing other teams' robots in matches.

Sofia M., Team Lead of Media and Design, was awarded the FIRST Dean’s List Finalist Award, which honors student leaders who have led their team and communities to increased awareness for FIRST and its mission and achieved personal technical expertise and accomplishment.  Sofia is now a global finalist for the Dean's List Award and will compete for the award at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas (WCMP).

Questionable Engineering ended the event as one of the two FIRST Mid-Atlantic Engineering Inspiration Award winners.  This award honors a team that celebrates outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering within a team’s school or organization and community.  As a 2nd year team, we are extremely honored and proud to have won such a prestigious award at DCMP.  This award qualified our team to compete at the FIRST World Championship in Houston, Texas.

The team is overjoyed to have qualified for WCMP for the second time in our second year!
