Main Street Pops Artisan Market

On Sunday, December 19th, we went to the Main Street Pops Artisan Market in Hoboken, New Jersey! MSP Artisan Market is a collection of local makers and artists offering their hand-crafted creations. The Artisan Market is a monthly vendor sale that provides a public space for different artisans and makers to sell their goods and allows residents to acquire unique pieces.

Our team decided it would be a great opportunity to take out the trashcan robot, Oscar, for a spin and talk to local vendors in our area. We decorated Oscar to fit the festive holiday atmosphere. We spoke to a range of vendors at the event and people surrounding the market. We took the trashcan robot for a drive around the market, sharing with vendors and shoppers a little bit about robotics and what we as a team do. Some kids had the chance to drive the trashcan robot!

We distributed flyers to different artisans and other interested folks and shared our love for FRC and robotics. Even though it was a cold day, so many people bundled up and came out to support the small businesses in their area. It was great being able to talk to so many people (and maybe get a little holiday shopping in) and to share robotics with so many more people!
